I have some wonderful news and updates to report. Its time to focus on the good things of life. Call it the holiday spirit, call it just sick of dealing with the bs and being frustrated most of the time, call it getting older. Call it what you will, but here I go. Nothing but happy thoughts in this post.
First, and most important, an update on my MIL and BIL. Both are done with treatment and in good health at this time. My MIL is cancer free and feeling great. She had an easier road (no chemo) and has been good for a while now. My BIL finished his chemo treatments in Sept, but had to wait at least a month to have a CT scan to look at the mass in his abdomen. Well it went from 4cm to 8mm!!! Wahooo!! They think most of that is probably scar tissue, and the rest of him showed nothing. The blood work all came back great. This is wonderful news! He will continue to be monitored, but looks like we're out of the woods.
Next, our bathroom make over will FINALLY begin next week. Ok so its not guaranteed 100%, but the contractor was here and thinks it shouldn't be a problem. I will be sure to post before and after pictures. It will be quite the transformation and I can't wait to see it completed.
Third, I got a raise! It is one of those if someone recommends you for all your hard work and are approved you get one type thing. So, in the 4.5 years I've been there, my salary has gone up almost 12K. Hey, that makes all the travel and crazy hours worth it sometimes.
Hmmmm what else is going on. I got a part time job at Old Navy. Not sure why though so don't ask. You could say for the discount, or so I'm not bored during the holidays when I'm off and everyone else is working. Or it could be because extra money is never a bad thing, or the discount is good too. Pick one :)
I also got back on my workout routine. Nothing crazy, just some walking/running. Its been a week consistently and I've lost 1.5 pounds! Its a start, and I'll take it.
Things are looking up folks, and I couldn't be happier.
I'm SO glad things are turning around for you! Now let's hope that I have some good news for you soon. :) You'll be the first to know!
