Not too exciting, but there are some updates to tell. The urologist appointment on Monday went ok. The hub's blood work came back normal, and the ultrasound confirmed that he has a small, but fixable blockage. The urologist recommended fixing it through a catheter that enters a major vein in his leg, snakes through to the area to fix the blockage. I'll find more on the procedure later.
We are waiting on a surgery date, but for now he has a consult with radiology on June 1st. I have come to the conclusion that we are taking a few cycles off, or at least trying naturally.
As far as my job goes, NYS passed the furloughs. For those that are unaware, that means I'm forced to take an extra day off a week, and 20% pay is deducted weekly until they pass the budget. Yeah I'm not thrilled that I am punished for doing my job. I am still unaware if I am or not affected by this. No one has any answers for that.
However, the update is that our unions filed a lawsuit against our governor, and the injunction was passed and so the furloughs are on hold until the hearing on May 26th, whereas they were supposed to start on May 17th. Its a start but honestly I think they are just extra pissed off now. Oh well, maybe they can pass the budget in the time it takes to get it all sorted out. ::snort::
I'm glad your getting some answers. As for your work, that sucks. I remember last year Pennsylvania have a budget freeze. Government employees went 3 months without paychecks! It was nuts. I wish the economy would get better.
ReplyDeleteDoes the furlough apply to our lovely state legislative people who can't get their poop in a group? Because, seriously, they fail! (boo...hiss)
ReplyDeleteI am glad that everything is moving forward with Rob, and I hope everything else is doing ok. :) I'm trying to be a faithful stalker and keep up with you my dear, but I do fail. :( Just know I think of you and pray for you often. ::hugs::
