Operation Overall and Organization

Is under way in our house! This includes our health AND our house.

First is Operation Get Skinny: This involves an overhaul in our lifestyle. Food choices, portions (thank you my handy dandy food scale), and exercise. We are doing pretty well at it. Hubby and I are walking together, although we did best the first week and are slacking a bit. I will say however that some of those walks have just been replaced by other activities which is still more active than we have been. I finally was able to start running again after 6 weeks. Intervals last week were run 2 minutes/walk 5 minutes for a total of 35 minutes, 10 minutes total of running. I'm doing it every other day as to not stress out my poor hip and legs. This week is run 3 minutes/walk 4 minutes for a total of 35 minutes, 10 minutes total of running. My hip did not feel great on Sunday, however my whole body was pissed at me from all my wine consumption. I will run today and hope that was the case.

So, as far as food goes, I'm following WW. I am not paying for anything or weighing in on a scale in front of strangers. I had a book sent to me by one of my darling loves (Thanks C!) and have an online calculator that I can use. Its working out pretty well. I am pissed that alcohol has to be so many freakin points. Can't a girl just have a drink without it counting against here waist line? Yeah, yeah I know. All good things cost the most points. The hubs is not really following it per say, however he asks me what this is or that is as far as points, and tallys his points up in his head. So had it paid off? According to him, he has lost 10 pounds in the last 2 weeks. I lost 6, 4.2 in one week! WOOT! I don't expect a big number at all this week, however, I hope to at least to not gain since it was a crazy ass weekend. I will be making a wine festival post later, promise!

And finally, Operation Get Organized: I spent yesterday cleaning out my closet (Bonus points if you think of Eminem with that statement) and boy did it take all day. I was using 2 Rubbermaid storage totes to put my shoes and purses in. Thus, could never find a shoe or rather, pair of shoes so it clearly wasn't working for me. So, the shoes are all organized under my bed, as well as my purses and bags. There is nothing on the floor of my closet! While I was knee deep in accessories, I cleaned out clothes that were old, no longer worn or liked, and no longer fit me by like 5 years. I filled 3 garbage bags FULL to donate. I feel all accomplished now. We will take it one room at a time, but I'm thinking with some creative thinking and storage boxes, we will get there. I do have a closet full of crap that needs to be emptied for a future closet of baby/kids clothes ;)

  1. Very nice job with the weight loss!!! DO you like that scale? I've had my eye on it.

  2. I actually don't have that exact scale but I do have a pretty inexpensive one that I like. http://www.bedbathandbeyond.com/product.asp?SKU=13350086

I have my weigh in day tomorrow and hope that I didn't gain anything after my weekend of cheating and wine festival. I would be happy to break even, especially after a big number last week. Great job on your weight loss love!!
